[quote=Cre8tvlwyr]WOW makes me want to go back to my more subtle choices of colors [mine are very loud- I have totally gotten out of my box  ]- quote]

Cre8, I had to smile when I read your comment. I so love all the bright and vibrant coloured blocks and am trying very hard to brighten myself up and even do scrappy.

So far my contained, co-ordinated self is winning. But this is only block one and I hope to get a bit more "out there" as I go.

Andrea - I am doing 7" and sewing it all by hand. I find the handsewing relaxing watching TV of an evening.

To date, we have 93 who indicated they are going to make their very own AOTH!. Now some of those haven't "talked" with us in a while, but it is summer & life sometimes gets in the way.

I think my DH thinks I'm on a mini vacation 100% of the time! I love having something to do with my hands in the evening, too.

My DH is on a mini vacation of his own. He knits. He has just finished a lovely shawl, beanie and booties set for GB to be.

He actually works in the curtain business so he is my enabler when I fabric shop. Always encourages me to get a bit of that colour also.

    Lucky, aren't I?

My DH says that when I am in the quilting mood I am in LaLa Land! This lovely hobby of ours makes us special. Doesn't it?
