I like #6. I haven't seen this technique before and am intrigued. Let me know if you need volunteers for samples or when the book comes out where we can get it.

    Suggestions only, not criticism...
You might reconsider the font size and weight, as well as all the wording used on the cover. As it is now, the title is the least significant thing on the cover when, in reality, it really should be the most. You want the title to be remembered so people can find it to buy it.

Right now it looks like a brochure or a class advertisement, not a book cover. I'd make the blue quilt the entire cover, no photo at all, and put the text (no box, just the letters) down in the bottom 25% where the child is looking. Put the double image, photo and quilt, on the back cover with a brief synopsis of what's inside.

    Something like:
    Stained Glass Portrait Quilts
from family photos to cherished quilts
    by Trudy Rhoads
is all you really need to say on the cover.

I like #2 -- you can see the different textures of the hair and dress and skin in both modes. Very cool by the way.

I think you need to have two small portraits. One in the upper left corner showing the portrait as it, then the next one in the right corner showing entire portrait as a stain glass portrait quilt.

Can you please notify us when the book is published. I would strongly consider purchase. Looks so cool.
