Here is the math:
20 x 40 = 800"
stitch in half, the strip is now 4.5" x 400"
next step will create a piece that measures 8.5" x 200"
next 16.5" x 100"
final 32.5" x 50"
with the strips being vertical rather than horizontal.
This is also assuming that your starting strips are 2.5" <wave>

This is my first ever quilt top done using this tutorial. Thanks so much. I made a small quilt top so I can practice FMQ on my Bernina 1530. I've been sewing for many years but I'm new to quilting. This will go to my doggie when I'm done practicing.

Hi, using my phone to search. Not going well. Could someone post how many strips and different prints I would need to make a nice baby quilt and a matching sweatshirt vest? New grandbaby in Oct. At the hardware store, before the fabric store. Thanks so much!
