    Great idea - I have always put my thread in boxes to keep from dust. Unfortunately I went the more expensive route and actually bought the plastic clear boxes from JoAnns when they have them half price - Love the idea of the plastic tubing will have DH pick me up sone next time he is there!!! Thanks for sharing

    This looks like a great idea, my reels are stored by colour in ice cream cartons, but can get tangled. I don't recognise 'foam board', can anyone help? What would it be called in U.K.? Thanks for the idea and help.

    Great Idea - thanks. I also have recently purchased an embroidery machine and find myself with lots of spools of thread to store. Glad to get this tip before I went in the wrong direction regarding storing them.
