It wasn't until I went to post my #8 that I realised I hadn't received any notifications for that thread. Had to go through the whole thread to look at all the beautiful blocks.

Ok, so since I am at a stopping point, I thought I'd post the 13 blocks I did up here, the rest are at home.

I am so excited to start patting this together and I actually have an idea for the border that doesn't involve scrolls, lol. Well maybe in bobbin work but not applique.
What do you all think? Any issues that should be addressed? All the blocks will be set on point with metallic golden sashings.

It's beautiful, Candi. Can't wait to see it with the sashing. That will really set the blocks off.

I absolutely love your background fabric and the blocks are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it all with the sashing on it.

Thanks Judy and Elle. I too am looking forward to seeing it with sashings. Just why didn't I bring it here with me anyway? Bad planning on my part I guess, lol.

Ok, so for Dee and Patti. Here are these painted blocks I am working on. I only need three for a table runner, but the first one was experimenting with colors so I made four. Amazing how much the embroidery adds to them.

Very nice blocks, both sorts! When you look at the lovely painted ones, it makes you wonder why we are appliqueing fabric, sometimes, doesn't it?

Love your blocks together Candi. Your autumn colours look beautiful.

Your painted blocks have come up beautifully and yes the embroidery really finishes them off.

I agree with you Lesley and sometimes I find it easier to reach for my paintbrush with some sewing projects because I suppose I am more in my comfort zone.
