    I drew the tree up from a picture, added a few branches to fit the names per family on a branch. I stem-stitched the names onto the 'leaves' first, light for female, dark for male. Buttonholed stitched the tree to the background, then buttonholed stitched each leaf in place on the branches.

    I actually enjoyed doing the family tree and the recipient's family is thrilled with it so I have achieved what they wanted

    That's a fun, funky quilt for a young lady. The family tree is a great idea for a back. Nicely done!

    Love it - Can you direct me to the pattern for the front. I think that it is a D9P with the middle wonky.
