Y'know, I have looked at that foolish thing for years ALMOST buying it and deciding to wait a few years until they get the bugs out and make some upgrades - you know how it is when they come out with something new.... I think I'll buy it now with a coupon and hand it over to my husband to put in my stocking. Thanks for the push, ladies!

I think that you will find it very useful. I just figured out how big I can make a throw for a wedding shower gift using her colors from my stash. I even have enough for the backing, and the sashing and the borders!!!! All in leftover Civil War fabric and overbuys! It will be a sampler quilt, similar to one that she had admired before from one of my projects. The throw will be almost 62 x 72, enough for 2 to cuddle under during the long New England nights.

I've had my calculator for a couple of years but haven't sat down to read the instructions. Gosh...I might be missing out. Once live settles down for me, I think I'll get it out and see if I can navigate. If I can figure it out, then anybody can.

I bought two from Penny @ quilting with penny. One for me & one for daughter. I was thinking I only paid $25 for each. Love, love, love it! It's so simple to use and for me that's saying a lot! I mean, if Twanda's Mom can do it, anyone can.

wow the free app looks good, but confusing. the calculator is very simple, but i will down load the app to my Dell Streak, so the whole thing looks much bigger.

Morning QuiltCalc users! I thought it would be helpful for you to know that my friend and co-worker Susie has a ton of easy to follow 'How To' videos on the Calculated Industries YouTube Channel for the Quilter's Calc (the one JoAnns sells and which is currently on sale for around $20) These videos are short & sweet and can help new users and pros make the most of their calc. The link is www.youtube.com/calculatedindustries Happy Quilting & Happy Holidays!

I have one and love to use it for figuring out border and binding fabric quantities and number to cut. So many times I would cut too many or too few for the size of the quilt. I know it can do a lot and try to expand a little at a time.
