    I guess you could do something similar for mug rugs, perhaps without the beads. I'd be careful of the organza though - the one I used is polyester and quite delicate.

    And thank you everyone - I feel a series coming on, thinking of other flowers that would work with this techniqe, came up with thistle so far!
