Default No Regrets and my Mother is in Heaven Smiling

I really felt bad about giving up my Mothers Elna tomy daughter. Today I found this on my grandaughters Facebook:

Learned to sew on my great grandma's sewing machine this weekend! Made Christmas gifts with my newfound skills, and only injured myself once. Big thanks to my Mom for being extra patient with me while I learned, and not passing out when she had to pull the sewing machine needle out of my finger

I no longer regret giving it up and I am sure my Mother is in Heaven Smililing

How wonderful that your grand-daughter has inherited a love for sewing! The fact that she shows such pride in using her great-grandma's machine just made me glow!

I think you made a new memory today and how that you DD will treasure the machine for many years to come. I hope that you and DGD have many hours of joy sewing together and that she loves and cares for the machine as you have in the past.

Your Mom would have been so pleased with what you did. Sounds like your grandaughter has a bit of you in her!

Unfortunately the only Granddaughter I have is in Florida and I live in Maryland. I had three sons and wished I had someone to pass on my sewing skills to. Now I have one granddaughter and she is too far away. But if she learns to love to sew I have 5 machines that she will probably inherit. LOL

How awesome for all of you, and it was because you had the generosity of heart to pass on something that meant so much to you. And the fact that she blew off sewing her finger so early in her sewing experience really shows how much the sewing means to her. She didn't react to that as much as I did when it happened to me. LOL Hugs, smiles and this is already a wonderful Christmas season for your family!!!
