They look great! very similar to the colors I used, I've started sewing the winged blocks to my red string blocks, the reds really get toned down by the blacks, but still look nice.

I have both sizes and colors to finish sewing--then I will need to square them up!!!Here's a pic of my red-burgandy-purple strings.I'm about halfway done sewing these.

Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone!
yayaquilts, love the color of your strings! I also still have both sizes to finish.

    Default Lay 'm straight

I've completed sewing the center blocks, and laid them out to get ready to sew them together today. I was really concerned I would get them messed up, they are so busy it wasn't easy to see the errors. When I sat down to take a break, it was much easier to see when I looked at it from a corner - seeing it on the diagonal I could more easily tell if the blue string blocks were going the right way. What a quilt, I'm sure this is the most difficult one I've ever done, but sure am glad I did!

Very pretty! Love your colors. Wish I was this far along. Life has gotten in the way. Will be a few days before I can get back to sewing on it.

Very nice. I am so far behind and so very bored sewing the little triangles onto the HST's. Yep, only on part 5. This is a test of perseverence and I promise this one will NOT become a UFO.
