When I sewed only clothing...I was a 3. That's probably why I was never able to wear 1/2 of what I made. I got into a phase of sewing stuffed dolls...then I was a 1. Now that I'm working on quilted bags and other things I would say I am a 2. There are some days that 3 creeps in and even 1 once in a while...but not too often.

Im a definate 2. Really the only room in my house that I can say is clean and I would be a 1 is the kitchen. I like being a 2, everything in moderation; even cleaning lol.

2 to 3 like people have said, it depends on the day and time of the week.

I am a 2 and a 3. There is always some mistake in my quilts and my kids and GKs have made a gamie of finding them. I do no tmind though because they love their quilts.
As for 3, well I am the master of making a mess when I am at the machine.

Im a 2, although I like for things to be perfect I quickly learned that when I quilt it is for fun and enjoyment. Beating myself up over a few mistakes takes that all away.

    Help! I think I'm schizophrenic! 1, 2 and 3!

I like to be careful from the choosing of fabrics to sewing the seams to pressing to quilting to binding. Precision helps make the work easier and makes the finished result more polished looking.

But, I also can't find my floor, on occasion! Things get so cluttered that despite all the tabletops, I am working in the one square foot that's clear in the whole studio.

"Careful" or "precise" don't have to mean "grim," "dour" or "humorless."

I have to say I fall into the #2 category - in most things in my life, I am #1 and will not give myself much leeway for errors. All my friends thought I would be a perfectionist when it comes to quilting, but that is the one area in my life I give myself permission to make mistakes and not worry about it. I have to say quilting is an area where mistakes probably result in half the great steps forward and new innovations we have.
