Suz, that's sooo cool. Wish I lived closer because I would definitely take a class from you.

I am sewing a fleece blanket for my sister in law for her sister. I am appliqueing a big puppy that I drew out and used fabric print of different colored stars. It was hard to sew the applique on the fleece and it was hard to sew on the fleece as it stretched a lot. So it wouldn't stretch I put the fleece in heavy starch and then dried the fleece in the dryer and it worked great to keep the fleece from stretching much. When I get it finished I will wash the starch out.

I love applique but only by machine. You still can get some beautiful results anyhow.
It is fun to me to see the creation completed. Connie

Connie - By machine or by hand are both good. Fun to do (and finish) either way.

Cleo and Lisa, you must try machine applique using the embroidery module also. I am halfway thru a project with this method. It is a lot of fun, too. I wish I knew how to post pixs as some of the blocks are so interesting. I am anxious to get this top done.

I saw this thread about using a pinking blade. I'm using this with my Pony Club quilt.
