How about red around the blocks and cream for the larger sashing between your 14" blocks. It would help the crumb blocks pop!

    AnitaSt,
I see red as the dominating color.

Were it me, I would try looking for a white with a tiny or small overall red pattern - something that gives the appearence of being red but not in a strong or dominating way.

Good luck. And I hope you post a photo of the completed quilt top. This sure is pretty so far.

    best,
    d

I would use a gray sashing - but like someone else suggested I would have to take a bunch of the blocks to get the right shade of light gray....

Red is what I see first, then maybe the narrower dark blue as a secondary.

Cool Help me pick a color please

Greetings from sunny Sun City Arizona

I too see red, but there is a lot of dark blue also. In checking over the squares, I agree with the suggestion of tan, but I think you should us a tan on tan, or cream on tan because of the few squares that are tan. This would be the color to use around the squares. For the borders you definitely could go with reds and blues. Great squares, looking forward to seeing it finished. God Luck in choosing!

How about a four patch in red and blue for the corner stones. And blue and white sashing.
