LOL AnngelAnne ..cute story made me laugh.

Deb- Those fabrics are going to make an awesome quilt.

And yes there is a dining car for a proper meal on the train when needed and also a sleeping car..but be careful there are still a few flying geese nesting in one of the bunks.

I tried my hand at making fried ice cream last night for my family. Love when the kids and crew comes over. Anyway, I think I will bring this to the car. Gotta have a freezer and fryer though. Any takers?

Already a freezer in the club car with that cherry chocolate ice cream and those frozen drink bags in it. Only need a fryer.

Marybeth, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dear Chesepeake of 16 years just 6 months after I lost my DH, so I understand how you are feeling. She was my 100 lb baby, so sweet but I never had worry about anyone hurting me. She especially loved babies.

Thank you so much for this recipe - I just was over to my neighbors last evening and picked enough to try making a rhubarb tea - recipe shared in earlier quote - and picked enough to make some muffins with a little left over - this will be perfect.

I've been reading over this thread trying to decide if I should jump on board and try a mystery quilt - I've never done one before; you all make it sound very easy and there are other newbies that I wouldn't feel alone. I'll check my fabrics when I get home to see what I can come up with.

You all have a fantabulous day.

    RHUBARB BAR COOKIES

    CRUST:
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt

    FILLING:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. rhubarb, cut in 1/2" pieces
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Mix crust ingredients until crumbly. Pat about 2/3 of crust mixture in ungreased 9" square pan. Combine softened cream cheese with remaining ingredients, beat smooth; pour over crust. Top with remaining crust mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator

    Kristine,
I've never done one either! But it sure looks like we're going to have a fun time with all this crew! And all the munchies in the club car will definitely satisfy our appetites as well. Jump in & join the fun!!

Do you think these fabrics would work? I could use either the yellow or pink as my contrast fabric. Whichever one I don't use could be used as sashing or the white might work for sashing.

    so do we have to call it ;

    raiding the hidden treasure

    depleting fabric inventory

    digging in the gold mine

magic material ( what is it called when somthing appears out of thin air.....better use Harry Potter term)

retrieving from behind the invisability cloak

no.....................shopping the stash.....is the best name for where fabric comes from
