I am going to make this quilt for my 90 year old grandmother who just loves quilting and rainbows. She saw her first double rainbow this past summer. My question is this...does anyone know where to get fabric bundles in color groups?? I need 1/4 yard cuts. But I need 4 shades of each color, i.e. purples, reds, blues. I don't have a great selection in my area so I'm on the hunt online. I've found plenty fqs but not by the yard. I would love batiks but I know that would raise the $$$. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

    What a beautiful quilt!!

As far as buying the fabric on line, look for batiks, blenders, marbled blenders, etc. You might also check out online quilt kits. :D

Fabric Hut on Little Creek Road in Norfolk......go down Military Highway toward Little Creek Road.....hang a right and it is in the shopping center on the left. When you see the Sonic Drive in you're there.

Caution: Addicting and you'll feel like a kid in a candy shop.....lol! It's my favorite!

Yeah, I like going there too. Nice selection. Have you ever gone to Sarah's Thimble on West Great Neck? I go there all the time. I do most of the store samples. They have a great Long Arm service too.

Yes I have been to Sarah's Thimble and to the one in Kempsville also. One day I will venture to the quilt shops in Chesapeake and Suffolk.....lol. I just really like the selection at Fabric Hut but Sarah's is a close second.
