Default My new design wall

DH and I just made a design wall in the back hall. I don't know what this board is called, but I got it at Home Depot. The workerbee said they use it for their bulletin boards. It's some kind of fiber board and we found it with sheets of foam insulation. Comes in 4' x 8' sheets. I covered it with a drop cloth and framed it out with slats from an old wooden blind. It is 6 x6. Now I can sandwich my quilts without leaning over a bed. My back is very thankful.

Nice design wall! I would love to have an open wall to use for that purpose. Mine are all fill with accumulations of things over the years, like pictures of family, places we've traveled, etc... If you know what I mean. That's what 50 years of marriage gets you... too much other stuff! Enjoy you wall

That back wall was covered in pictures and old needlepoint. I decided I never looked at those pictures there, so I picked out the best and moved them to the other part of the house and I got rid of some stuff. I needed a place to hang a quilt because there was no way I could continue if I had to bend over. IMHO it is worth having the wall.
