Definitely A; it completes the design and continues its movement. And it is balanced--there is formal balance, where both sides match, and informal balance, where open spaces have their own weight to balance objects.

Either one is a good border but I would prefer B

Gorgeous Quilt. I tend to like A better. That white block on the top right just looks better by itself. You might try a few on the bottom left for balance.

I think I like "A" because it goes better with your quilt name "chain reaction"...keeps the chain reaction flowing.
