~ to the usa swappers sending overseas, if you use the flat rate envelopes (regular or legal), the postage is a flat $16.00. packed strategically, you can get plenty of stuff in these envelopes if you choose to do so. using these envelopes helps to control the postage shock factor: having your package all packed up and finding that it will cost you $30-$50 to ship it. of course this is just a suggestion as i know some will want to send items whose shape will make it difficult to fit in a flat rate envelope.

besides it's not about the size of the package or that it includes lots of items, but i believe it's more about the anticipation of receiving a gift and the thoughtfulness of the person sending it. heck i get excited about the postage stamp squares i am receiving in swaps and they are no where near on the scale of the sp pkgs.

~ to my sp sender again i want to let you know i will not be picking up my mail until next week in case my package arrives before then. i am still moving and i'm quite unsettled right now. plus i will be offline for a couple of days while i get everything situated. but on the good side of this move, i have divested myself of a lot of stuff, i have rehomed much, i have donated to goodwill a lot and i have left plenty of stuff curbside with messages on both freecycle and craigslist to the delight of others. and on the other hand, all of my quilting and swap stuff is so scattered in many boxes. it will take me like forever to find it all. oh well it's moved now.

~ many wonderful items being sent and received. really nice packages being put together. you gals & guys are such a creatively thinking and crafty group. hmmm.... here's wishful thinking that i could receive one item from each package.

Postage is so expensive I'd be happy with just stash and used items as well as anything handmade, if they have the time. My recent SP spent $19.25 on postage alone so that alone is more than enough!
    My overseas postage was 32.95

This is my swap from Grandma Peg - she read on my profile page that I'm a big fan of Elvis and gave me two whole yards of Elvis fabric I had never seen before! Also some fabric in my favourite bright colours, cute pumpkin buttons, a book by an author I'd not heard of and handmade items too! (I ate one of the chocolate bars pre-photo - delicious!
Thank you so much Peg - I'm delighted!

I recieved the nicest pm from my SP, mooretll, glad your package arrived and enjoy. I had a blast shopping for you! We need to swap canning recipes.

Absolutely love all the packages, keep the pics coming and we need MORE clues (pleeeeease) while we sit with anxious anticipation of the postman.
