Great colors and use of scraps. The side stars and hexagons get cut in half and then you can add borders...when you get to the size you want. Wonderful idea.......another quilt in my head???? Thanks to you for posting

SheriR, you can do this!!!!! It's easy if you mark your seam allowances using a Quilter's Quarter or similar. I have one of these with bigger diamonds in the works and it's easy but time-consuming.

Good grief!!!!! You are a glutton for punishment!!! One inch sides??????????? Holy cow, woman....you are crazy or magnificent!!! This will be a beautiful quilt when you get finished with it! Are you sure you won't go with a modern, asymmetrical wall hanging based on an historical block??? What you have done is awesome - I know I will never even attempt this pattern!!! My hats off to you!!!!!

It will be so worth it so keep going! I'm working on a GFG quilt with one inch hexagons. I'm making 2 courses of hexagons around the center one and I have 17 completed so far. I'm planning on 2-3 yrs to make a large lap size. I work on it sporadically while watching TV or while traveling.
