Judy, beautiful quilt! I like the idea of the mottled green or rust...a dark color would set off the entire quilt.

Yes, definitely a very bright color. One of the reddish shades.

Judy, your quilt looks fantastic. I love the quilting pattern because it makes the stars seem to be swirling around the sky. I would probably have the binding match the outer border.

I put together the first 2 rows to see how the sashing will work. The sashing is navy cut at one inch. The seam allowances just nestle in them. Stones are purple. The are in no particular order except that I tried to put them dark/light background every other one.

Florence, it's gorgeous! That is the look I am aiming for too. I may use Marguerita McManus' QAYG method, that adds the joining strips that look like 3/4" sashing but don't add to the size. Plus, I will sandwich and quilt each block first, so that part will be done!

Thank you Nicky. I think I am going to send mine out to be quilted. I am afraid I would screw it up after all this work.

Colleen and Sue, very pretty blue blocks!

I am Pretty happy to be so close to finishing! I just finished Virginia. But I am only posting one a week. I want to get the last ones pieced so I can start FMQ on my OBW.
