    Oh ok I don't have a embroidery machine. Hopefully someday. They are beautiful!

    the spool tree will be in my sewing room permenantly.

    Organza.... another great idea. I think I need to invest in that stuff so I can do some shadow trapunto work and apparently, thread painting pretty things.

    Do you have an embroidery machine? I don't remember ... but if you do, and you do embroidery on it, get a woodburning tool and then you can just melt the threads off the outside!

    I have one of those melty gun things, not really a woodburning kit. I forgot I had it. Thanks for the idea. Does it turn the organza dark though? I will have to get it out and do a test.

    Nope. Use a pointy tip, if you have it, and try not to touch the embroidery. It just burns it away. I have a piece of scrap wood just in case something falls off.
