    I think I will start wrapping my SS stuff tonight and see how much room is left, if any.

    I used to make apple butter years ago when the kids were young. That was a whole lotta work and very time consuming waiting for it to get just the right consistency. Crock pot might work these days.

    I have made applesauce in crock pot too. But apple butter has to be a little thicker and takes a whole lot longer to cook to give it that nice dark rich color.

    Yes, I put it on toast. But I don't eat much toast any more, so therefore I eat very little apple butter. I used to put it on my kids PBJ sandwiches to change them up a bit. It is also really good to use as a sauce to put over a ham when you bake it.
