All good so far. East and Western ends of the sandbar are flooded, but that always happens. The test will come tonight at high tide.

My sister lives on the third floor and is 1/2 block from the manditory evac zone!
She lives a few blocks from The City Quilter! She said they should be ok it is the aftermath they
    are concerned about.

I am concerned for all you easterners, God be with you.

I do have a question on this month's theme. We are to do a quilt on what we are thankful for, does that mean a cup of good joe is ok? Every morning I am so grateful for my cup of joe.

Krystyna, my prayers are with you and all your family! I have family in NC and New Hampshire, Mass, Conn and Maine... But so far all are safe, not all evacuations are a good idea and I think you know what is best for you and your family~ I think I am thankful the only thing we have to worry about here is an Earthquake!

I will start my DQ next week, heading to my Sons house on Wednesday and my Marathon on Sunday, I think that makes this week full!

Prayers to all in Sandy's path~

Oh, my goodness. I am so glad you posted. I have been thinking about Krystyna and praying she is OK. What we see on TV looks awful!! I was actually just on line looking at the area she lives in. They must have taken a direct hit!! If you hear anything further, please keep us posted!!!

Krystyna, My heart goes out to you and your family and I pray for your continued safety. You are in our thoughts and prayers hear on the QB. As are all our QB friends that have been affected by the storm.

Dragonfly Nana, Have you made it through the storm ok.

I have heard from both of my kids, North Carolina (safe) and Rhode Island (work) But have been trying to get south to there house in FL and keep getting re-routed to New York. So, this storm has affected so many.
