    Default Solids and Near Solids

Quilters seem to be using more solids in their quilts these days
http://www.hawthornethreads.com has a wonderful selection at better prices than I see elsewhere.
They've added a new section "Near Solids" - far more tempting than I need right now that I'm attempting to cut back.

Hawthorne Threads and http://www.fabric.com are my two main go-tos for fabric - both offer good prices and fast good service; Hawthorne carries the latest in fabrics that appeal to me - sort of off-beat.

Wow, I was just looking at the Hawthorne site, I love the fabrics! A little off beat, something different than what I see at JoAnn's. I love the funky fabrics for my 12 and 14 year old granddaughters quilts. They don't like florals, stripes, etc. They are picking out fabrics right now for some lap quilts. It's great to be shopping together on line in our PJ's, I love grandma bonding time.
