AliCat: I love your theory on hoarding......if you have an ideas for your stash it's not hoarding- just no time frame. Try telling that to the family member in this house whom looks at the boxes and gets upset at the clutter! Good thing he doesn't open the trunk of my car-that is where I "stash" the quilts I am working on currently-yep..plural for more than one quilt- and the fabrics needed to work on them. PS the trunk is full of quilting "stuff" and probably 9 quilts in all stages. I'm working on it weekly, so many ideas-so little time!

Good thing you didn't win that Powerball, huh? Lol! I see you're not from one of the two states with a winner. I didn't win, either. Wonder if either winner is a quilter?!

My thought is that "collecting" fabric can never be considered hoarding. Don't you agree?

Good thing you didn't win that 500 millions dollar lottery last night. There would not be enough fabric for the rest of us!

Strength to your arm - it costs that much for supplies for one quilt in my neck of the woods. If you are able to hoard, you should go for it.

Congratulations!! How fun. Isn't it nice you didn't hesitate? I would probably spend so much time trying to decide how to spend it, it would end up at the grocery store. Good for you.

So I immediately donated $50 to the North Branford Cheer Club (DD is a cheerleader), then each family member got $25. And I got a haircut.

Then I went to Joanna's Saturday.

I BOUGHT 46 YARDS OF FABRIC. I got 3 yards each of 11 different colors and 13 yards of blizzard fleece to make no sew blankets for the 3 kids and one for myself.

I thought I was bad wandering around with all these bolts to be cut but apparently one woman came in and bought enough blizzard fleece to fill 12 large bags!!

And I can't fit any more fabric in my closets.

I think i am a hoarder!!!!! Or nuts.......
Nope , not a hoarder , a squirrel. Squirrels save for bad weather and you are saving for later. BTW great job with what ya did for your family. great win !!!
