I had to look, since my only knowledge of a tuffet involed a spider and curds and whey. It is very cute, but very labor intensive. I must say if I were going to eat curds and whey, I would definitely choose such a lovely tuffet to sit upon.

thanks for the link... that's a beautiful tuffet. my first concern is... after all of that work, will the cotton fabric hold up?

I love the colors! Though it looks like lots of work to get it to fit.

I truly made one of these! I was so proud of myself and have enjoyed the tuffet in my family room for a couple of years now. It is labor intensive and I suggest doing it in a class so you can have other hands working together. Sadly no the fabric does not hold up very well. I have one place where the stitching has come out/broken/what ever is the term. I also have a few places where the fabric is starting to show wear. I am going to watch for another class and do it again. I've just enjoyed it and the compliments too much to tuck it away in a closet or corner to "save" it!

It's so cute! I wonder if it would work with Home Dec fabric. JoAnn's has so many really great dec fabrics. I haven't worked with many but they would seem to hold up well.

Beautiful tuffet. And thanks for showing us what a tuffet is. Like Connie M. I only know about tuffets because Little Miss Muffet sat on one. lol
