Smile Working next 2 weeks to orginize the studio.

I hired my daughter to help me get the fabric in some kind of order. This last month I have given away 2 sewing machines working. And lots of fabric. Of my 3 girls only this one has shown interest in sewing. She found a panel to made her Boston a quilt. Stayed up until 3 am and finished it. Then came back for another panel for a pillow case. I have 2 weeks off and plan to live in the studio.

I have the same goals as you! We are closing on a new house right after Christmas. I've already selected new shelving so once it's all set, I can hopefully move and organize everything all at once. I'm not really in the middle of any major projects right now so organizing my "stuff" will be my focus. Cannot wait until I can walk in my room and it is clean and neat!! Course I seriously doubt it will stay that way for long but I will be one happy camper!!

The best part about organizing a new sewing area or reorganizing is rediscovering fabrics you bought and forgot!

Yep everything is coming off walls and getting rearranged after the holidays . It may take me the entire month but so be it. I want a place that is organized and easy to get around. I am too old to be squeezing between the cutting table and the ironing board bending and wiggling to get to things I need. LOL
