    Cooks Illustrated vanilla results: http://www.cooksillustrated.com/tast...sp?docid=18889

I've been a devotee of Cooks Illustrated for decades.

I order all my real extracts and baking spices from King Author Baking Company. I use McCormick Premium Imitation Vanilla in baked good where the vanilla is one teaspoon or less. More then that and I use the real. I buy this one:http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/...a-extract-4-oz

I had to print this recipe! My sweetheart in Staten Island is Italian and he introduced me to these deliscious biscuits!! Now I know another item to add to his box of goodies for the New Years!

I created a new one this yr. I had a recipe for pumpkin spice cookies(they are cake like) and tasted so good it was easy to imagine them as biscotti. They were a big hit. I bumped up the cinnamon (saigon is my favorite) and the fresh grated nutmeg and they are great both ways. I normally don't put coating on the outside of my biscotti because I don't want it too sweet.

Thanks for the recipe. I keep meaning to try making these but haven't done so yet. I'm going to push though to try your recipe soon.

Thank-you...I love biscotti...but it is so expensive to buy already baked.

I love making biscotti! I add dried cranberries and cherries. On my list to make this weekend.

that is so wonderful of you to share your recipe. so many people won't even consider doing that. have to make it a secret. the problem with that is the recipe usually dies with with owner. i love biscotti and trust me i will be making this i a few days to enjoy over the holidays. thank you so much
