ok first off I only have caffeine first thing in the morning. up to me I would have three cups a day however with only two cups of fluid period allowed a day I only get one cup. Its pure me. I am either awake and zippy or I am out like a light no inbetween. Lucky not so sure but hell I run with it.

I got a marvelous letter back from twinrivers it appears she likes fabric and cats. not in that order and not together combined. so she will not be getting cat fabric in her quilt. (can you hear her sigh with relief?) We are going to do marvelously maybe some of her peacefulness will wear off on me? nahhh. maybe it might work the other way. silent partner? uh not likely. I went through my stash today and came up with an option that might actually work. No batiks however so might need to add one as the splash of color we talked about. hum.. it would work too. that is an easy fix. first to find a pattern that fits in the size requirements. having sewn for several hours today I have time now to play and pick and chose a pattern or at least an idea. I think we are off to a good start!

Nexxus you can always have someone smuggle some salt in.. or salt substitute. our hospital had only ms dash herb I wanted the lemon one so my sis brought it, cayenne pepper and what else.. garlic powder. added it to everything helped immensly. mustard was ok in small quantities too which helped but you would have to see the MENU for rooomservice at Stanford. OMG.. three pages, pick and chose whatever you want between 8 am and 8 pm. delivered to order. yuppers. not like regular hospital food at all. Halibut, salmon, chinese or mexican depending if your diet allowed and again it was a legit menu. make a sandwich of your choice your pickings of what you want on it. I have never been to a hospital like that in my life. I of course spent three months there and well you will eventually get sick of everything including steak with mushrooms. low sodium soup sucked. I did sneak in sodium cant help it. now I keep it in my travel bag in case its not allowed again. bad bad girl. I didnt over do it but something was sure better than nothing. and oodles of pepper .. its not fun there. roomies are not great but girl they come and they go. and you forget about them. They never sleep when you do. If you want to see your doc be up between 6 am and 11 am and do not sleep. they wander in at those hours and again you might get a night shifter to come by too but rarely after 7 pm. so quick eat and pass out why dont you! I have had pneumonia several times in the last ten years, once in ICU it wasnt pleasant. I am so sorry and wish you well immediately. I hope you are able to get the shot next year.

    Lauri,
I do like batiks and have a pretty unique collection of them. I just don't want you think it's too dull because I am using typical fabric, does that make sense?

    O... M... G...

One day away (I um, you know, had to WORK?)... This is amazing. I am definitely going to have to buy a new box of Kleenex. (The veterans already know this, but I cry at the drop of a quilting needle.)

This is all Very Exciting AND girls... we still need one more swapper for our "odd girl out". So nudge your quilting friends, please. Our poor solo girl is probably weeping at all the excitement being expressed here. Don't want ANYONE to feel left out.

leakus, I *did* send you nurse bonnie's info. All she said was "Surprise me!" about what she wanted. But as we're all learning, the more information you provide about what you like (and don't like), the easier your make it for your partner, and the more likely you'll get something you'll love.

Now... I have to go read NINE PMs that are waiting for me...

    Melinda, get well SOON!

hey Melinda want us to break you out? you do know this means going home to family and they never seem to get you were just SICK its more the good your home now we dont have to.. so think hard ok? getting the get away car ready polished and cleaned yup the limo is charged and ready to go. I hope white is ok with you its all I can get on short notice. besides the hummer is a bit tall for the average bear and I think your more like me, height challenged?

April I spent a good portion of last night oogling Jinny Beyer fabric as that is something my partner likes. I fell in love and didnt want to get out of the scrolling through 600 fabrics bit by bit. OMG I need this and I need some of that and well that is how it went.

My question to you all is the minimum is 45 x 60 (or three blocks by four blocks) question is if your wanting something a bit more artsy I am finding crib size or too big. Where can I find a good pattern selection that fits in the minimum and does not exceed the maximum? stumped. otherwise its a pure sampler 12.5 block which while traditional is not doing what I think my partner wants it to do transition from one thing into another like an illusion or a star within a star type. today I will locate the pattern I need I am just stumped. argh. pirates!

Melinda - you pick what you think is best for the quilt. I will be happy no matter what :-). I was asking about Batiks for your quilt. Hope you are feeling better.

Well, I must say that Ms. roseirish48 is a VERY amazing woman. I'm thrilled she is my swap partner (sorry brat, but she is AMAZING)!!! I will be creating a traditional quilt with a lil bit of a flare twist using different blues and different white on white fabs. I'm SO excited!!! I'm gonna raid my stash today to see what else I need. I finally get to try out my Christmas present, my AccuQuilt GO! I'm SO excited to make something that is her, STRONG, elegant, amazing and fun. Fingers crossed I can pull this off for a truly amazing woman!!!
