Boy, I hope you don't wait until "...next mon". Mon is an abbreviation for month - next mon is TOO late. If it's for me, I'm ready now, not next month. Ship it out!!! But wait, mon could also be an abbreviation for Monday couldn't it? - is that what you meant? I know I'm not the sleepy one, although I did wake up at 4 a.m. and that was it for that night's sleep.

Elisabrat, looking at her post history, she must have joined the swap by PM & never posted in the group. I hope whoever was supposed to send to her got enough info from her original swap info to make something she'll be happy with. I love what she sent you. It doesn't scream "winter" so it will be great for year around use. I don't think I'd wait several years to try to quilt like she did in the center. Of all the ways to quilt in an open field, that's probably the safest from my perspective. I have problems with open field quilting, but I'm an accountant. We usually believe you're supposed to color inside the lines, lol. I think that's why I tend to use SID for almost everything. The prospect of FMQ is inviting, but executing that concept, well I wouldn't even know where to start, and I'd be too scared I'd make a mistake, lol.

Sorry I can't post as much as some people do. I am 70 years old and raising 2 teenage kids rescued from an abusive household and I really have my hands full. I worked full time until I severely injured both my shoulders and ended up with 4 screws in each of them. I don't think I will sign up for any other swaps until my live smooths out a little. Not complaining, but am lucky to find the time to check the newsletter each morning before they get up. I have to drive 60 miles a day taking them to and from school as the bus doesn't come this way. Thanks for listening

I just found out my partner was VJC.. ok. anyone here know who that is? here is a picture of the tablerunner she sent to me. then one that is a bit closer to show the quilting in the center. Actually, Dusty, everyone has to be a fan of someone and I wouldn't think of posting photos of the football game. There will be enough of them on the TV and in newspapers. I was referring to photos of the runner Elisabrat sent.
Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.

I felt the same way about what I was thinking I'll probably soon receive compared to what I shipped out. But, LoupEsprit seemed to be very, very happy about it, so that made me very happy too!

Twinkie, oh I know. No misunderstanding, just making a joke. My ex and his whole family are Alabama fans. They're going to be impossible to deal with for the next year after as bad as Auburn was this year and they won last night. We watched the game with a Notre Dame grad and by the time they were down 14 points he was ready to quit watching sports altogether, lol.

Elisabrat - love the runner VJC did for you - it's beautiful and will be nice for any time of the year; an awesome job quilting as well. Wish I wasn't so intimidated by the whole quilting process - guess that's why I mainly do stitch in the ditch. Anywho my runner should be able to be shipped tomorrow - I worked late into the night and pinned the binding on this morning before coming to work. Hope that the recipient will appreciate the winter mitten theme. I'll post a photo when it's done and you can all wonder who the recipient is - wish I had made one for myself.

Love that table runner, looks like the colors in my dining room. Are you sure your name was on that package Elisabrat?
Vanogay I should have called you, we started our day at the same time. Last night was not a good night at my house...had one of those "it's got to get better" evenings. Hate those! You just toss and turn all night long and just finally give up and get up. Thank heaven it's a new day!

Here is a picture of the table runner made for me by Elisabrat. I really like it. Thanks so much.

Thought I would show you the shelf/cabinet my DH made for me to display my cups/saucers and special knick knacks. It sets just behind the table pictured with the runner.

Anastasia, why do you "wash" the batting? Just stick it in the dryer for about 10 minutes with a wet rag and the wrinkles come right on out.
