I'm a retired special education teach. I mostly taught kids with learning and behavior disorders. But two years I taught high school kids with physical disabilities. These kids had cerebral palsy and spina bifida. They were quite amazing. All of them were wheelchair bound and a few had limited movement of their arms. But they managed. They all dressed themselves, got themselves on the bus for school. One boy had spina bifida. He had full use of his arms and taught himself how to ride the bus by himself. When given the opportunity these children can succeed to the best of their abilities!
