    I can only see the background on 1, which sure looks good to me! We're making the Tradewinds quilt next month in our guild. I bought a Little Gatherings Jelly Roll to make mine. Love your batiks too!! Pretty colors!

    It depends what you are going for. If you're going for something more mellow or subdued go with the pale yellow. If you want something more stark and prominent, go for the white-ish gray.

    I like the 2nd, but only because I am leery of white backgrounds showing any smudge of dirt.

    I like them both too but #2 really makes the batiks and design pop. It also has a more modern feel to it. Just depends on what you are going for.
