My Mom has one and loves it... Truth be told its more machine than she needs. One note make sure you get plenty of lessons included in the price... there is so much to learn and the manual only goes so far.

Thank you for responding! I am getting the machine on Craigslist and she basically told me the same thing....more machine then she needs. She said she made 3 tutus with it and that is it! She did not take the classes and does not follow instructions well so she wants to sell it. She said the warranty could be transferred am going to be paying $3000 for it so,I guess I will buy a class on how to use it! Wish me luck

I had the Ruby before the Deluxe came out and it is such a great easy to use machine. I say "had" because I traded my Ruby in for the Diamond Deluxe. The store had many tradeins at that time and I know that at least for mine; it was sold before I got it in to turn it in. They had long waiting list for them. The Ruby Deluxe has more features than the Ruby. You can see a comparison chart on Vikings website for all of their machines. I love embroidering with the machine, I'm kind of addicted to it. I've not had any threads that it didn't like and have done many projects on my own but also take the monthly classes and a few extra like the cutwork needles; my favorite thing to use. You won't go wrong with the Viking. If I hadn't gotten such a great deal on my Diamond I would have went up to the Ruby Deluxe.

I have the Ruby, which is the one just before the Ruby Delux. I love it. I also use it to do all my quilting with the embroidery part of the machine, as I can not get the hang of FMQ. Worth the money.
