So, the laziness, the "cop out" of doing your own quilting, but the "send out to long arm" is not.
bruised about this.. each stitch counts.. sat and took it on the chin.. so to speak.
..will continue to stitch my own creations, using the most cost effective way possible to enjoy my quilting.
Yes, I consider myself a quilter.

Girl --- you keep your chin up.... it is NOT a cop out. There are tons of folks out there ready and primed to provide negative criticism. Phewy on them.
A couple of years ago, one of my neighbor's told me that "machine quilting destroys the value of a quilt". I quickly responded.... "No it doesn't. Have you seen some of the machine quilting out there?" ;-)
btw..... The one quilt that she told me about is wrapped up in a box and meant to be an "heirloom" for her grandchildren.... NOT TO BE USED. ha ha ha.
I want my quilts to be loved and used!!!!
You keep on keepin' on and don't let anyone tell you "your way" is a cop out.

How can this be said "cop out". When you pour your hard work and love into a quilt, no way would this be a cop out.
With this being said and if someone thought this about a quilt I made I would put them on the not quilt worthy list.

Well, whoever said this to you has obviously never tried keeping it in the ditch. As long as you are happy with what you are doing, just ignore the negative comments. Everyone should quilt the way they want, like and can afford, whether it is SID, FMQ or quilt by check. Just enjoy your craft and the wonderful smiles of those who get to use your quilts.

Some people have nothing nice to say about anything. Whoever said that to you is one of 'THOSE' people - you know, the kind who think their sweat doesn't stink.
Ignore comments like that...they are just plain mean.

I agree - ignore all those negative comments and do what makes you happy with your quilting.
I almost only stitch in ditch as after many many frustrating efforts, I cannot get the hang of FMQ. I choose not to send my quilts out to be longarmed because of the cost involved - for example, a scrap quilt (with barely $50 worth of fabric in it) would cost me about $300 to get longarmed.

Some quilts were just MADE to stitch in the ditch. That gives them a perfect look. No cop out there. A quilt should be quilted in a way that enhances the top. Nothing works for every quilt.
Tell whoever said that to you to ...............(insert rude message here).
