Love those 301's! I have two of them also - a beautiful pristine black one that is a long bed and a very nice mocha short bed. I love my FW as well but I don't want to haul it around to quilting "bees." I don't want it ruined. So I take the mocha one a lot.

I also have the Singer 401 and a 404, along with a Singer 645, 648, and a 600E. But then, there's the Atlas (pink - I love it!) and the Brother - and the singer 66 in cabinet, and the 1918 Singer 99 handcrank. I forgot about the 500A. Hmm...so many machines, so little time! My dream is to have a place where I can have ALL of my machines out - set up like a work room - so that I can have a different project going on each one of them!!!

I have 2 301A's along with several other vintage singer sewing machines. I am currently on the hunt for a hand crank. After I find that I think I will be done. But who knows, they are so addictive but I am running out of room

I love my 301-A! It's in a cabinet and love to sew on it. They are a dream to sew on. My Featherweight is the one that goes with me when I leave the house though. Dig it out and get o usng it-you will love it.

We have found it is a very serious condition that leads to FUN, FUN, FUN. Wouldn't take anything for my 301. I prefer it to the FW as it is not as picky. It is durable and loves to go to sit and sews all over. It will take any thread also and not complain. It came from EBAY, cheap, because it looked like the paint was bad. Only dirty. Sparkles now. Enjoy.
