I recently attended a quilt retreat and one very smart lady brought along bed risers which can be purchased at Walmart. She put them under the legs of the fold away table used for cutting...and it was the PERFECT HEIGHT! Just wanted to pass this along.

Great solution! I would call it the " Jango " table.

absolutely! i am a big proponent for use of duct tape in everything! but it also needs a bit of color... a little bright red duct tape. maybe a touch of yellow here and there?

I love it! Just another great use for milk crates and scrap lumber. I was thinking of having some 4 inch PVC cut to the length of the distance from the floor to the underside of the table... but your solution is more immediate.

How so? I've been under there, and put some good pressure on it, and it's super-tight...it's really not going anywhere, even if I kick it. The weight of the table plus the weight of the machine makes it really tight, and the blocks are very straight...not crooked at all (I had a lot of practice with alphabet blocks when I was a kid...could get them stacked really high before they toppled over )

That's what I was going to say: My very own Jenga puzzle! (Is Jango another puzzle like Jenga?)

Now you just need to sew a pretty cover for your makeshift table leg... a quilted cover, of course!! LOL
