Hi everybody. I have the center done and need to add the last boarder. Now I am undecided with the boarder for the second time. I already changed the boarder and the second time around doesn't please me. Oh boy!
Also having doubts about the size/set up. My center is squared and I was going to finish it at 60x60, however having seconds thoughts. Should I add different boarders so I elongate it?
What sizes are you coming up with? Anybody going squared?
I guess I should have followed a pattern but too late now that I am almost done.

I am attaching a Pic #1 with the center done.
Pic#2 is auditioning the boarder that I was appliqueing, It is a lattice in violet with a vine going around, there are some stems that will end in a little yellow flower that I haven't done yet.
Pic #3 is a close up

This is what is bothering me, I think, I found the boarder too white and not busy enough as it is the center. I feel like the boarder should go towards either a print violet fabric as used in the center or the dark violet.
Please tell me what you think so you help me identifying what is wrong and where to go.

    thanks all
How about going with your appliqué plan but do scalloped edges? Also square with this one is awesome.

Trying to decide on border also. I like this fabric because it brightens the quilt pulling out the lighter colors. You like Linny?

Thanks for the peek, and yes, I like. The earthy colors are so pretty.

Glad you like, trying to figure out which one I like is another story. My heart leans more toward the bottom one because of the little extra feminine touch the flowers have and they bring out the lighter colors in the blocks so it is not to dark. The top one is a wonderful fabric, but the green makes it look darker. These are the two I like at this point. I may just surprise you anyway.

OH MY!!! Look at all the beautiful work everyone is doing! I so love looking at everyone's quilts, thank you so much for sharing pictures!! It is exciting to see the progress. I have to say I do so enjoy this swap. I have finally gotten Mindless' quilt done all finished, binding everything........... even after having to rip out the first free motion quilting. But I do like it better now and it came together smoothly, cannot wait to send it to her. Keep up the wonderful work and keep sharing the photos!!

If there is anyone out there who has lost touch with their partner, please let me know. We have a few people who have failed to respond to my requests for updates-- some of them, though, seem to be in touch with their partners. So now I need to hear from anyone who feels they've been abandoned by their partner. PM me, okay? Thanks.

My partner's top is finished, now for the quilting and binding. Great looking sneak peeks, the finished projects must be amazing.
