Good idea ... I've got a lineup of the dishwasher pod containers for the laundry. One for garbage, one for used bounce sheets, one for hot water pods and one for cold water (I buy a different brand, no containers).

I use a sports water bottle with the pull top for filling my iron. I keep 2 filled up in the sewing room and can fill the iron with no spills.
I use the spring snips for clipping threads and was forever losing track of them so I took a small command hook and mounted on the side of my machine and now I always know where the snips are.

I covered a piece of wood with a towel & then material to use as an "ironing board" on my counter. No more getting the big board out (no more barking at it from my dog!) I use baby wipe containers to stow sewing items, an office pencil holder with little storage trays for clips, sewing feet, etc. I use a meat tenderizer which is flat on the bottom to "bang" my seams flat. Tweezers are in use freq. when sewing & using the embroidery machine to pull up bobbin thread. Empty cigar boxes hold sewing items too.

4 legged fur baby who likes to roll around on my floor and because of the static he picks the little bits of thread and material "chips" then goes outside and shakes them off. Non-skid shelf liner to keep rulers and material in place from moving. Non- skid yoga mat keeps my foot pedal from moving.
