Sorry, I had left overs. We typically eat Sunday out after church and I had shrimp and chicken over rice at Applebee's today (brought some home), but our left overs were from Friday's dinner - pork roast. I was thinking of my DQ and thought of a book - flat one, each 'page' was something in my past...hmmm, might not be real exciting though. Could spice it up somehow??? Just thinking out loud - got me in trouble before...

STOP... talking about food You are making me so hungry !!!

Krystyna you have EXCEL led in the partners list this month, hope your head has stopped spinning now. If you don't want humid heat, step on over this way, it's a mild 8degC, breezy winter's day.

First 2 rows I sewed this morning I had to unpick so I am heading into town to mail quilty packages and get myself a REAL chai latte. Bring on this next weekend, heading to the mainland for a 'footy crazy weekend' in Melbourne with friends and our kids are flying in too so it will be good to see them, especially DD as she has been fabric shopping for me (an early birthday pressie)

My mind can't get settled on anything!! Must be that I am too complex of a lady! I am in the middle, actually nearing the end of quilting a panel of birds and flowers that I bought last summer, and will finish that before starting on my DQ for July. Kinda dark and gloomy and actually quite cool here this morning. Haven't had any hot spells yet this summer and I'm not complaining! Everyone enjoy your day....

Enjoying my day, thank you jillnjo. Had to get on the computer and do the banking as it is the first of the month and balance my books. That's done and now I can begin to play. Want to go downstairs and start on my DQ - or at least get the design determined and audition the fabrics. I know for sure one that will be in the mix, but the others ---?? Keep the "fun" in dysfunctional everyone

    That's the spirit, Kathleen!

I started my day off by dragging the laundry across to the disgusting laundry room only to find that while I was super early, someone had already grabbed the two big machines. Foo! Back to the apartment for a second cup of coffee to fuel ripping out the last line of quilting I did at midnight -- thankfully on the edge -- in which I managed to get the backing all bunched up into the stitching. Extra foo!

Hubby is on vacation this week (although he is working overtime 3 of those days -- but will earn the equivalent of a week's pay ) and today he will go to the county to get copies of our deed and other stuff so we can move forward.

Chasezzz and I decided to do where we live, so started sewing on it yesterday. Don't think it's dysfunctional but I had fun! That's got to count for something. Hubby did me such a favor yesterday, cut a 5 gal. bucket of rhubarb wasn't he sweet....need to save some for pies for my kids, they love it, and then going to try to make some rhubarb chipolte sauce for bar-b-que. Called the "brat" and said SOS tomorrow so hope she's going to aid in my experiment today.

krystyna do you have a crockpot? If so, I did some ribs in mine and they were really good! I do prefer the grill but the gang all loved them!

Krystyna, wrap your baby-backs in foil, twice around super tight, put your seasoning on before you wrap .. bake at 350 for an hour, unwrap carefully lots of fat in the foil .. put on broiling sheet, brush with your favorite BBQ sauce, broil til crispy tada home ribs super good. never stick to the bone they fall right off..

I can't wait to see these wall hangings come back! I love the beach one that was shown, kind of loralee like? super cute. Today I am off to make something with chipotle with Jaba maybe with raspberries she said? sure hope her kitchen is cooler than mine! last night I was thinking way too hot to cook so I made a simple salad with chicken, tomato, and Parmesan and fresh buttermilk ranch. it was perfect. now unfortunately I doubt I can get away with that twice so its steak on the barbie and rice I think fresh corn.. anything to keep me out of the kitchen .. oh oh I can put the corn on the q also! tada!!! its only 9 and I am talking dinner. keep me out of the kitchen would you? my rear doth not need any extra padding. oh but a nice herb butter on that grilled corn.. shame on me! lol
