Just for you, Mike, I'll keep tweaking that ad. Any new lines appreciated, too.

    Miriam,

I love your sense of humor! I have laughed myself silly while reading this. There have been times I wanted to smash a machine when it failed to work, not limited to sewing machines, either! LOLG

God Bless. Hope your stress is relieved!

you know I wasn't even using a sewing machine. I was trying to get a few things moved. I found this in the depths of the garage - I think it set too close to the leak in the roof for years. Had I known what I know now it might have been made to work. BUT I'm sure there are others out there who have had their share of failures. It was a spur of the moment thing DH actually did most of the sledgehammer work. I just got to do the finishing touches. BUT he had fun, too. Plus it got the garage just that much cleaner. We can still recycle the bits of aluminum that separated out. I just hope we got them all so we don't hit them with the mower...

I love your saying, "Never let your sewing machine know you are in a hurry", I can sooo relate!!

I got a spam reply from CL I quote:
"This is the type of machine I learned to sew on! How much are you asking, please, and... where are you located? Thank you"
I know this is spam because they sent it as a reply for another ad I had on CL... I bet they don't even look at the ads.
