    What a beautiful quilt. I don't know why it would have ended up in a thrift store, but I'm glad that someone (you) recognized all the love and care spent making it.
    BTW, if you find any more beauties like that one, let me know...

    Hand quilted? Just think of the hours someone put it making that quilt!! So glad you found it & gave it a loving place to age. Looks like a beautiful quilt & in great condition. It would look great hanging somewhere!

    Me too, Sharon! Tink doesn't take a lot of room, being a Chihuahua, but she sleep next to me with her head on HER pillow and under the sheet and quilt. With the cold we have been having, Tink and I are using a blanket and 2 quilts. Our bedroom is so cold.

    I am grateful for stupidity and ignorance! How else would we get these wonderful treasures!? Probably someone was cleaning out dgm's home and it smelled funky so away it goes. Wonderful find for you!
