Absolutely incredible. I had cut all the circles..made one placemat and realized the weight, time and thread.....and that I would not be sending it to my son in Hawaii. So my quilting group got the circles...You have done a beautiful job.....

Wow.....where did you get pattern? Size of circle? Size of insert? From pic it looks like the stitch you used to nail everything down was not just a straight stitch...was it? Or what was it....I have a shopping bag full of jeans! just crying to be repurposed???this could be the answer......

Wow! Beautiful. I made a twin sized denim rag quilt for my daughter... first quilt I made. It is super heavy, and the quilt she asks for when winter come around. I'm surprised yours is only 11 pounds. When I made mine, I was just starting, and way too impatient to collect jeans, I bought yardage of assorted denim... I had no pattern, and no idea how much to buy, I think I ended up buying 10 yards of denim. I'll have the rest of it until the day I die, I'm sure.

This quilt was always on my bucket list. Finished the same quilt last month and it looks spectacular. But, I find it doesn't drape well and is cumbersome -- the denim doesn't give. One night when it was chilly I spread it across my bed. Although I was toasty warm, I couldn't move from side to side with ease. May not weigh much in poundage, but it's bulky. My grandchildren admired it, but I didn't give it to anyone. Put a lot of work in this quilt, and did heavy duty quilting on my Janome, now I'm not sure what to do with it.
