Default 1-February-2014 Project of the Month, Gift Bag Pillowcase

    Good Morning Everyone,

It's time to post the Project of the Month Pattern for February. This project is called a "Gift Bag Pillowcase, with a gift card pocket". I had a great time making this project & I hope you will like it as much as I did. I have teenage Granddaughter's & I know they will love this project, as Christmas gifts this year. These make up very quickly & you can make several single ones or sets to give for gifts through out the year. Enjoy!!

    what a fun project!
when i saw this, it occurred to me that i make a lot of quilts but no pillowcases or shams to go with.
i'm inspired and hope to make at least one of these pillowcase gift bags to go with each quilt i make this year.
    fingers crossed! LOL

Oh Patrice, what a great idea & I am so glad that you shared your idea with all of us. I was also thinking that by making a set of pillow cases, it would make a great Wedding gift or Birthday & Christmas gift. The possibilities are endless!!

What a clever idea, someone was thinking, not only does it serve two purposes, it is so pretty, too!! I am going to try this. I like the idea of new projects each month, love quilts but something smaller is so appealing, especially if I am just happy to have a challenging quilt done!!

very cute case.I might make a smaller one to put my crocheting in. Maybe add a little interfacing to help give it some body. This was made with some very pretty fabric. Can't wait to see what everyone does with this months bag.

I remember reading about a group that donated pillowcase bags to give to foster kids. Too often when they are removed from their home they take their things in garbage bags.
