Default Craigslist find and new room configuration.

So this weekend I scored 3 tall and 1 short Ikea Billy shelves in white for $90 on craigslist. So this is my spare room/sewing room. I store the bed under my long arm. I have a white board behind my longarm for practicing and a shelf at the 6 foot level (I am only 5 foot 4 inches) to put storage and pretty stuff on. Come around the corner and I have a sewing desk that I got on craigslist for $50 and painted white. I had to change the top so that it flipped up in the back instead of covering the hole where the machine goes so I wouldn't have to move it all the time to close the top. The short shelves hold my laptop, patterns, cricut and bobbin winder. The others hold my fabric and scrapbooking stuff. The shelves beside the closet door hold my FQs and less than a yardages. I made that (yea me!) I still need to repaint it because I don't like the color but it is pretty fresh paint so I will live with it for now. I also have a makeshift design wall of flannel tablecloth to stretch accross the bookshelves if needed.

Very nice room. I would never have thought about putting the bed under the longarm but it seems to work well. I like the wall color!

I'm thinking about the Billy shelves from IKEA for my sewing room. How do you like them? Kudos for scoring them on Craigs list. We will have to drive several hours to get to the nearest store to purchase them in our pickup. My Dh thinks that cube storage would be better- what do you think?
I like your sewing space very much

A great sewing room. Nice storage for all our quilting stuff.
