Love it Dakotamaid ( post 2178) I've been making hex's with all my unused 2.5 squares that I don't use for other quilts. I'm waiting till I have enough for a quilt. My husband thinks I'm nuts cause they are small. Not sure how I want to display them in a quilt yet. Maybe by end of year I'll have a quilt.

Default My husband's first scrappy quilt

My husband made a 69x90 twin size quilt with scraps. He was bored with all the cold and snow and wanted to sew. So I had him sew some QAYG blocks I was working on and enjoyed it so much he wanted to do more. I had LOTS of scraps and I got them sorted and ready for him to sew. The only thing I sewed on his quilt was putting it together as a QAYG and the binding. I don't know how to post a picture so when I figure it out, I'll post it. It turned out great

I just finished this lap throw for a friend's wife. I have never met her as they live in Africa... Mali. He was here recently for a brief visit and I sent it home with him as a gift of friendship. I called it Floral Cascade.

Colleen, you and your DH did a wonderful job on your scrap quilt. And, I love your QAYG.

Wildyard, your lap quilt is so sweet.

Wild, Wow! Gorgeous color combinations on your brown quilt.

Wild8580 I love all three of your quilts. I think it is the colours that get me in - they are the same palette I gravitate to.

Wow! RtoPA, I love your DH's scrappy quilt! It's a typical unplanned scrappy that is just more gorgeous than any planned one for sure!

Linda's lap quilt is great too!

And Wild8580, I love all of yours but am drawn to the last one of dark brown. I don't care for brown quilts but you've changed my mind! I'm getting all my browns out and using them!! TFS!!

Great QS, ladies!! A job well done!!
