Default Do you use bobbin washers?

This morning I watched a video on FMQ by Leah Day. She recommends using teflon bobbin washers. I have never heard or seen them anywhere. Does anyone use them and do they really make a difference in your stitches?

I've used them ever since they have been available to buy. I know fast if I don't use one in my bobbin. The bird's nest of thread stopped when I started using them. If your machine has a metal bobbin case take out the spring thingy in the bottom of the case. It comes out easy and goes back in easy. I use prewound bobbins more then winding them myself and I take the paper off both sides if there is any. I use Glide Delights bobbins when machine quilting. I use them in my drop in bobbin machines too, Janome Jem works great with them.

Forgot to add they last a long time. My problem is dropping them and can't find them.

I have not needed them. If you're not having a problem, there's no point in trying something new. If you are having a problem, then it doesn't cost much to try them out. They do help some people on some sewing machines.

I have them they are cheap. I don't see much of a difference - I only had problems before I knew to bring up the bobbin thread when FMQ'ing.

I use them in all my machines and they have really seemed to help me.

I have over 30 sewing machines and have never needed any. If you know the mechanics of a sewing machine and how to adjust the tension via the top tension guide and bobbin case, it's not something I've ever had an issue with!

My juki is the only one which will accept them. Singer, janome, bernina, featherweight, viking , don't like them.
