Default On line fabric store questions.

What online stores sell less than 1 yrd cuts? Which ones have the best shipping prices?
I only have a Joann's here and they don't carry the fabric I'm looking for. I would like to be able to buy 1/2 yrd cuts. Thanks for any info.

My experience has been that most stores will do a 1/2 yd cut unless the fabric is in their clearance area or end of bolt section.

fabric.com will do half yard cuts and has a great selection. Free shipping over 35 dollars.

Connecting Threads used to sell less than a linear yard. Probably still do.

This is my experience also. Most of the online stores will sell half yard cuts. There are so many online stores to choose from. There are several threads on this board about the merits of various online fabric stores. Take a look.

Have fun shopping and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Hancocks of Paducah are having free shipping:
Type 7T9M22LU in the promotional code box during checkout.
    Offer expires March 4, 2014.
Offer valid for shipments in United States only.
    Minimum order value is $35.00.
Limit 2 battings per order; all oversized items excluded from this offer.
Orders places before the receipt of this email are not valid for this offer.

My favorite store is Fabric Shack. Priority envelope is only $3 and they will cut a quarter of a yard. Very prompt and fabric is great. Always have sale fabric too.

I do most of my shopping on line, because the nearest QS is over an hour away. Just about all of them will cut 1/2 yards unless the fabric is in clearance.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I thought I had to get 1 yd as most of them have 1 as default. Didn't know I could change it to .5. I found what I was looking for at Fabric Shack. Thank you MQ2 for the info on them.

I think most online stores sell by the half yard - it seems to be the norm now - I think it started happening when fabric started going up in price. I don't think you will have any problem finding fabric by the half yard.
