Thank you, Judy, for another lovely pattern. I especially like the easy blocks. Being as I don't need another table topper, I decided to go bigger. I made more blocks, winding up with a 56 x 67 lap quilt. Now I didn't have enough red to complete the border, so took a lesson from whitepine's piano key border and used the pieced leftovers intended for the backing for portions of the border. I think it looks good and I used up almost all of fabrics used in this quilt. (Sorry for the blurry picture!)

TaDa finally finished mine
I wanted to make a lap quilt so I made mine larger. I had never put a quilt together on the diagonal so this is a first for me. The reason I choose the purple and green borders is not for Mardis Gras but for a friend that is battling liver and pancreatic cancer, this quilt is for her. This sure was a fun ride, looking forward to the next train trip. Thanks so much Judy for your hard work and fun pattern.

Judy: We crossed replies. It is called "Baked Alaska", don't ask me why. A lot of the pictures have just plain set ins, can't remember where I saw the kind I used but I'm sure if you wanted to duplicate them you would have no problem. I just used the same sizes as I used for the whole block.

Many comments have been made that you don't need another table topper, or runner. I totally understand this, but don't want people to make an investment in fabric for a large quilt when they have no idea what they will end up with. So, I will admit that I design my mysteries so they can be increased in size to a lap or larger quilt. When I did mystery #5, I think I made 6 times the blocks to make a king size quilt. Maybe more, I can't remember now.
