I'm like Carrie, kind of quiet. but must say Jan's MB quilt came together so beautifully--turquoise sashings really pull it all together.
And then Jeanie's Orca Bay--another beauty coordinated so well.
Love seeing the DJ's--so keep them coming.
Oh and such cute puppies--our lone one went to a a new home last weekend.
Today had cousins from a distance for lunch--all very last minute. Yesterday got a call from one of them and could we get together for lunch and I thought why not just come here so a mad dash of cleaning as I had the dining room table strewn with batik scraps. But so worth it. The oldest is 96, still quilts and drives! Her daughter drove her down and then a couple other cousins came up from the south--also quilters. We've decided to make it an annual affair.
I started another project--really out of my box. Friday my QB and I went to LQS for monthly get together and they are having a BOM with Tula Pink's blocks.

    http://tulapink.com/2013/04/24/city-...-quilt-blocks/

No I didn't sign up for the BOM--they are doing 6 of the 6" at a time--but I bought the book and have been going through my batik scraps--so far have over half the blocks cut and ready to sew. Very easy blocks to piece and will be a great scrap reducer for me. May not make them all, but going to work cut until I run out of batik scraps!

Time to call it a day. Night all

    Jeanie--very pretty Orca Bay!

Anael--your I-Spy turned out great. The black is a good contrast.

OK--that pattern looks very interesting. Are you doing the rainbow effect across the quilt like they did in the one sample? I like the 2nd one with the light/dark washings.

Work yesterday went well. I should get some time in the clubhouse this afternoon...unless I decide on a nap.

HELLO! I have internet for a little bit this morning I guess that our internet problem is UNFIXABLE, apparently we live in a "dead zone"... so they dropped our price down to 15$ which is nice, but still frustrating to not be able to use internet at home

WONDERFUL quilts!!!! OOOOOOHHHH JAN...... OOOOOoooooohhhhh Jeanie........ and OOOooooooohhhh Anael

Puppies, are Great Pyrenees! we have been looking for another dog, one just isnt enough to keep the Coyotes away, especially with new puppies, and new goats born yesterday also. I can hear them out there at night getting to close, and only Sugar to chase them off!
we have been looking to change breed since we lost our male. but DH cant decide what breed he wants since Pyrenees is first choice is there any other choice??? I have been looking at shelter dogs but DH says NO
He better decide! Sugar cant run the farm by herself for long!

OK! I LOVE the TulaPink, I have also been looking at Jaybird designs she has a couple of different looking samplers that would be fun to do.

FACE IT LADIES we are all in the OCD ADD PITA group! it takes a certain kind of lady to make a sampler... which we are ALL of us good at

ENJOY the day!!!! have a GOOD one!!!

Mirabelle...BH's mystery quilt is when you take any set of coordinating scraps and sew from your stash. This last one had so many different color combinations. You could start setting aside scrap color families now for next November. I only had to add a handful of FQ's and fabric for sashing this last time.
OK...great way to use up some scraps. Isn't it fun to quilt along with others?
Anael...great I spy. That didn't take you long at all.
Carrie...nice that you're back to a little more normal. It's so annoying when the body doesn't respond like you want it to!
honchey...so nice to hear from you that one of your health issues is getting under control. Maybe one of those scooters they use for broken feet would help you get around the house easier.
Jan..so productive in the bat cave. With longer days, is the cloud lifting at all? I hope so.
DD...we were writing at the same time. Love hearing from you.
Worked on my SYE yesterday and didn't realize that I got the 3rd row sewn on upside down and the weaving pattern for the sashing is all screwed up until I hung it up on my wall. Still waiting for me to do some unsewing. Maybe today and maybe not. Really want to play with with my new fabric. I got a F8s package of Barbara Brackman's newest fabric line and really like it. I still like brights but the CW designs are really growing on me. Sun is shining but very cold.

Nice to hear from some of our "lost riders". Everyone has been very busy and productive. It's been too cold to go out so I've been sewing up a storm. Probably should dedicate some time to cleaning my house but NO!! LOL.

Thank you, GGal, yes the cloud is lifting. It's amazing how just a little more light each day can make such a difference. Also, have the Cleveland Quilting & Sewing Expo to look forward to next week, always a fun day with quilty friends. We look at that trip as "Opening Day" for FART season--haven't been out together since November. My Discover Card bill was all of $35 this month--I need a FART LOL!!

Have a great day all. I think today's snow was our last (please, God!).

I have decided my most important goal for April will be ---- wait for it ---------- no fabric purchases - shock horror, but my postie just delivered an order (still have 3 more to arrive) and I don't know where to put it all

    catch you all later

I had 10 pages ta read ta git all caught up!
The trip ta Houston was wonderful! We shopped, talked all night (every night), planned meals, talked about what she is gonna do in her yard, went ta a movin' sale (I bought a rockin' chair) went ta a thrift store, went & watched DGD at dance, went ta church on Wed night, fixed 2 sewin' machines & taught DD how ta adjust the bobbin tension, couldn't fix another machine , sewed dresden plates. cleaned house so DA could come for supper & she was a no show, went out ta eat w/other cousin's family,& just generally had a great time! (note we did all these things in a different order than listed.)
I have so missed ya'll! I need my PC fix daily!
