Default Ever Been to Nebraska Furniture Mart?

A town near me is getting a Nebraska Furniture Mart. I have never heard of them but it looks to be huge. They are expecting people to drive from 60 miles away. Any one else heard of them or been to one of their stores.

Yes. When we moved to Sioux City, Iowa our neighbors told us about Nebraska Furniture. We bought all of our living room furniture there plus carpeting. We met the old lady that owned the place. She was ancient then and riding around on a motorized scooter but she knew everything in her store. I was impressed.

My husband is from Nebraska, so the answer is yes. The store in Omaha is HUGE! They have a big selection. The furniture is pretty much what you see in most furniture stores. The prices were about the same, too.

I live in Glenwood Iowa, just across the river from Omaha, Nebraska. This is the first store for Nebraska Furn. Mart, the original was owned by Mrs. Rose Blumkin, it was run by her and her sons. She sold out to Warren Buffett of Berkeshire-Hathaway. Mrs. B's family still manages the business for Warren (who lives in Omaha). The deals are fantastic, with good customer service. You will find the deals hard to beat.

I live in northeast Iowa and drove to Omaha, which is about 4 hours away. We bought all of the carpet for our house there at a great price.

Yes, love the store. My sister just recently purchased all new livingroom and bedroom furniture. Very good furniture for a great price. Its a couple hours away for me to drive but when it comes time to buy a new recliner, I'll be going there to buy it. My sister also purchased her new washer and dryer set too. The sales repr. answered all her questions about each model so she was very impressed. We have furniture stores here in town but their prices are high. I can get the same quality for less money at Nebr. Furniture Mart. True its a road trip for me but I can also end my day with dinner at Red Lobster right down the road so its an added treat.

We were there at that time, too. Bought almost all our furniture there. Mrs. B was very involved. Loved that store.
